When people ask 'whose baby?' we reply 'ours' 'yeah, but whose actual baby?' 'ours' The confusion on their face. His biology doesn't matter to us so why does it matter to a stranger? Why can't they just ask if he is loved? That's all that matters.
Edit* Just want to clear up a few of the assumptions. No he wasn't adopted. We are living in Australia, so our culture is different to the US, where most of the negative comments are coming from. He was conceived through IVF with donor sperm. He is Caucasian, Maori, African American and Nigerian. You can watch the birth story on the Internet as it was aired on TV. In Australia it was called Gold Coast Medical, and in the US it was called Trauma Down Under. THANKYOU for the supportive comments we didn't mean for this to get shared so much, we are in no way complaining, it's just us playing around with situations that happen everyday for us. We actually explained the process to the lady who asked, but after a year of being asked we like joking around a bit. He will definitely know his identity and background as he grows up with age appropriate knowledge and he can access his donor when he turns 18 if he wants to. We are so blessed
