A Letter From Renaldo Construction

A letter from Matthew and Daniel Renaldo on behalf of Renaldo Concrete and their family, who donated $1,000 to the Canadian Diabetes Association through the True Reflections Fundraiser during our Masquerade Ball on Nov. 4.

Their donation was dedicated to their mother, Antonella Renaldo who passed away last year.

"For 30 years, we watched our mother cope with her Diabetes diagnosis. For the last seven years, we supported her while she fought kidney failure, having to go through dialysis every other day. Through those times, however, she never complained once about the endless doctor’s appointments or the pain she went through daily. During those times, she lifted our spirits and shared her strength with all of us, showing us the courage to never give up and that the power of love can defeat the everyday pain she suffered. She always put the needs of her family and loved ones first. She is the strongest woman we know and her legacy will live on forever through us. To the ones going through this, stay strong and never give up hope. Hopefully with the updates in medicine, a cure is near. We dedicate our donation to the life our mother lived, and hope that with the help of this fundraiser, the contribution will bring all of us one step closer to a brighter future for those affected by Diabetes."
